James Baxter the Horse
Another episode of Adventure time, that was wacky and random as AT usually is, but I guess like many AT episodes, might have hidden a little message within.
I’ve read it a few times by now, that the episode was talking about ‘doing your own thing’ when you are inspired by someone elses ‘thing’.
Finn and Jake are impressed to see James Baxter cheer up people and want to do it as well, but fail whilst attempting to copy him. So they go out to find their own way to cheer up people, wanting to find their own, personal ‘Feel good maneuver’. And they eventually suceed, after a lot of learning and research.
I think, you can set this on to many things. Taking that James Baxter is an animator in real life, he inspires many people to want to do the same as him. However, copying will only get so far. You gotta find and do your own thing. THAT is what will make it special.I think, it is even the law that Adventure time lives by in first place. Do your thing and stick to it, if it succeeds. Grow from that, stay true to yourself.
And even if that isn’t the message of this episode, I think that the message is still true. The thing is that James Baxter was actually voiced and animated by James Baxter too. =)

Prince Gumball’s path to the throne was brutal. Fionna wasn’t around during the Sugar Wars; Gumball distracts her by acting super bland and wearing disco pants.
Marshall Lee knows the truth, but as Chaotic Neutral, he just can’t bring himself to give a shit.
ETA: Nhyworks just gave me the amazing pun ‘Game of Scones.’ Brb dying ok.

wait, how many people didn’t know that that song in adventure time was a theme from a tv show?
i kinda figured the Cheers theme was like the Macarena in that everyone as late as my peer group had heard it before, but i guess it is a pretty old show
i literally had the same exact thought while i was watching. i’m glad at least someone else knew it, haha.
He even references the show by saying Norm!

Goddamit, CN
I KNEW IT.
I still choose to believe the reason it was chicken soup was Simon trying to protect Marcy and she was telling the little kid version of the story even though she of course had figured out by now what was really going on.
I wish we’d get the storyboards for this episode released, I don’t know why they stopped posting them :c
In that case, the soupery had to have actually been a pharmacy. Makes sense.
And it explains a lot about the Clambulance, and why Simon was so upset that it was actually a really punny clam truck.
